Why Values Matter at TESTIFI

At TESTIFI, values are not just words on a website, they are what inspire everything we do. Whether it is how we work together in remote teams, the way we engage with our customers or how we make decisions, our values are responsible for our choices, culture and organisational trajectory. They guide how we bring ourselves to work every day, whether we’re joining from Munich, Budapest or anywhere else in the world.

But values must evolve as a company scales. Although we had had a list of core values for years, we realised we needed to challenge them and ourselves. Were we still living these principles? Were they still terms that reflected who we are and who we want to be? We realised that we needed to work on our values to make certain that they were relevant, authentic, and actionable, and so we held a values workshop.

Why We Revisited Our Values

Growth brings change. As the team grew, work styles shifted and new challenges arose, the need to take a step back and reflect became critical. During our vision workshop, it was clear that key values needed rethinking:

• Were we truly living them every day?

• Do these values reflect our current culture and aspirations?

• Are they guiding us in the direction we want to grow?

This wasn’t a tick-box exercise on a to-do list, but instead, it was a deep dive into who we are as a team and how we want to shape our future. We wanted values that everyone could own, believe in and practise — values that were universal and that would hold true regardless of cultural or time zone differences, and regardless of our role.

The Process: From Reflection to Recommitment

The entire TESTIFI team participated in our values workshop. Using open discussions, feedback sessions, and surveys, we delved into:

• Real-life examples of how we see values play out in our daily work.

• Which values resonated most and felt authentic to our journey.

• Which values needed to evolve to better support our goals.

This process of collaboration was not about creating something new; it was about discovering what was already there, residing within our conversations, decisions and aspirations.

After thoughtful consideration, we emerged with a set of values that truly represent TESTIFI today:
